Great guide! I feel like the "play Vanilla first" mentality comes from Bethesda's games but if you know anything about those games, they're not exactly the most stable nor complete games themselves. It seems to combine a lot of the mods mentioned here for an enhanced vanilla experience but in one installation, and it appears to still get updated to this day.
